Alexey Abramov to participate in IEC CB meeting

Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology Alexey Abramov took part in the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Council Board (CB) meeting that was held in Geneva on June 20, 2019.

Topics discussed included standards development and Masterplan implementation action plans for 2020.

As a part of Geneva visit Alexey Abramov had a meeting with Frans Vreeswijk, IEC General Secretary & CEO to discuss such cooperation areas as professional trainings, technical experts’ engagement, and cooperation with CIS and EEU countries. Strategic interaction was also discussed on the meeting of Alexey Abramov with IEC President James Shannon.

It is to be recalled that Alexey Abramov was elected as a IEC CB member for 2018-2020. Currently CB includes representatives of Japan, China, France, Germany, the UK, the USA, South Korea, Canada, Australia, Italy, Austria, Singapore, Mexico and South Africa.
